(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The Dearborn Community Foundation (DCF), Inc. recently awarded a $1,000 proactive grant to the Pregnancy Care Center of Southeast Indiana, a non-profit organization that provides a host of free services to women and men.

In a continuing effort to make an impact in the Dearborn County community, DCF is awarding 15 proactive grants of $1,000 each throughout 2021 to charitable organizations that serve Dearborn County residents. Each of the Foundation’s 15 volunteer board members is recommending a grant. The money comes from the Foundation’s Unrestricted Endowment Funds, established by donors to provide flexibility to address changing needs in the community over the years.

DCF Board Member Kevin Schafer recommended the $1,000 grant after being made aware of the Pregnancy Care Center's annual fundraiser being canceled due to COVID-19. “I am happy to support the organization in this way," said Schafer. "The work of the PCC has never been as important as it is today, and I'm hopeful that this grant helps them positively touch more lives.”

The Center, 62 Doughty Road, Lawrenceburg, stresses that all services are free and confidential. Pregnancy tests, limited ultrasounds, online parenting classes, material assistance, male mentoring, and fatherhood programs are among services provided with the attitude that "You Are Not Alone. We Care and We Will Listen."

All personal visits to the Pregnancy Care Center are by appointment. Call 812-537-4357 or text 812-302-2887. Also call 812-537-4357 to make donations. The best way to access information online is to visit Pregnancy Care Center of Southeast Indiana.

"The Pregnancy Care Center has been such a blessing. I never felt more comfortable in my life," wrote one young woman on the Center's Face Book page. "They are helpful, kind and never judgmental."
