The plan outlines possible upgrades at the park.

(Sunman, Ind.) - The Sunman Town Council has officially adopted the Park Board’s Five-Year Master Plan for 2026–2030.
The five-year plan provides a clear, community-supported strategy to enhance Sunman Community Park. The plan priorities accessibility, safety, and quality of experience while ensuring long-term sustainability.
The plan looks at possibilities such as an ADA-accessible walking trail, an inclusive playground, improved shelters and restrooms, upgraded ballfields and basketball courts, additional parking, and a water feature.
According to the Town of Sunman, some project may happen, some may change, some may take years.
"Is everything you see in this plan guaranteed to happen? No. There is still a lot of work ahead—planning, researching costs, gathering community input, prioritizing projects, and, most importantly, finding funding. But now, we have a vision. We have a plan. And we can begin pursuing grants and other funding opportunities to help make that vision possible," reads a statement from the Town of Sunman.
