Laughery Valley FOP Raises $43K For Cops & Kids Program

Nearly 300 children from Dearborn and Ohio counties were able to shop for clothing and toys on December 4.

(Aurora, Ind.) - The Laughery Valley FOP celebrated another successful year of Cops and Kids Program by raising over $43,000.

On December 4, the Laughery Valley FOP gathered at Walmart in Aurora to shop with local families in need, providing needed clothing and gifts to 296 children from Dearborn and Ohio counties.

The children were accompanied by approximately 80 officers and volunteers, and McDonald’s provided meal tickets for each child, while Walmart provided snacks and drinks for the families.

Unfortunately, about 50 more children were unable to attend due to sickness or scheduling conflicts. However, those children will get to shop in the near future.

The FOP extends their thanks to area law enforcement officers, Aurora Wal-Mart employees, FOP Auxiliary, WAR members, and all the families that assisted with the shopping effort.
