President Biden will give his State of the Union address on Tuesday night.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Erin Houchin (R-Ind.-09) announced that Dearborn County Sheriff, Shane McHenry, will attend tonight’s State of the Union address as her guest.

“Sheriff McHenry is an important and honored guest. I invited him as thanks for his service and to highlight challenges law enforcement face, including the scourge of fentanyl caused by the Biden Administration's reckless border policies. Our local law enforcement officers in Southern Indiana work tirelessly to keep our communities safe, and I am grateful for their efforts. I will always take the opportunity to express my appreciation for their service and let them know I have their back in Washington,” said Congresswoman Houchin.

“I would like to thank Congresswoman Erin Houchin for the opportunity to represent my fellow law enforcement officers across Southern Indiana at the State of the Union,” said Sheriff McHenry. “We are all facing challenges across the nation, especially law enforcement. I look forward to working with Congresswoman Houchin to help address those issues.”

Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry is a lifelong resident of Dearborn County, Indiana. In 1995, Sheriff McHenry graduated from South Dearborn High School and went on to study at Indiana University.
