The I-74 resurfacing project extends from just west of the S.R. 128 interchange at Miamitown to the Rybolt Road/Harrison Avenue interchange. In addition to paving the interstate, the project includes minor bridge work such as deck sealing, expansion joint repairs, and drilling of fatigue cracks on the structures within the project limits, as well as on the West and New Haven Road bridges that carry traffic over I-74.
Barrett Paving Materials, Inc. was awarded a contract in the amount of $9.58 million to complete the project, and while paving is anticipated to begin by mid-September, all work is scheduled to be completed in early November.
