By Alison Wiegand (Burlington,KY)- The Boone County Fiscal Court has established an action team in order to seek a gathering space that can hold special events, the arts, meetings and other community uses. The action team is considering using and re-purposing the Old Boone County Courthouse. However, the action team is seeking the communities opinion and is encouraging everyone to participate in a 5 minute survey developed by the action team regarding the communities needs. According to the Boone County website, the community feedback survey " should take five minutes or less to complete. Your participation is important and appreciated. The data collected will be used by the action team and the County to guide our decisions as we work to meet the needs of the community. It will also assist in shaping future events and how we communicate." The Historic Courthouse is the third courthouse built on the northeast corner of Washington and Jefferson Streets in Burlington, Kentucky. Over the years, the courthouse has undergone minor repairs and updates. The second floor of the building is nearly 2,000 sq. ft., it has a meeting capacity of approximately 120 people. Therefore, the Boone County action team is highly considering using this particular courthouse in order to hold community gatherings.
