Coaches Congregate At SEI Boys Basketball Tipoff Dinner Oct. 29

By Mike Perleberg (Batesville, Ind.) – Seventeen area high school basketball coaches will share insight into their teams’ 2015-2016 seasons at the Southeastern Indiana Basketball Coaches Tip-Off. The second annual event will be held at the Batesville Knights of Columbus hall, 624, Delaware Road, on Thursday, October 29. Doors will open at 6:00. Tickets are $30 per person and include a chicken dinner and beer. Only ages 21 and older are permitted. Money raised from the event will benefit the Oldenburg Academy Students In Sports (OASIS) booster group for Oldenburg Academy’s athletic programs. The event is headlined by team and program updates by area basketball varsity head coaches. Those invited to speak include Lawrenceburg’s John Blackwell, South Dearborn’s Mike Brown, Batesville’s Aaron Garrett, East Central’s Dave Disbro, Franklin County’s Eric Ebrens, Greensburg’s Stacy Meyer, Rushville’s Brian Bowen, Connersville’s Kerry Brown, Jac-Cen-Del’s Travis Stangland, Milan’s Josh Blankinship, Rising Sun’s Chris Jones, South Ripley’s Travis Wrightsman, Switzerland County’s Adam Dennis, Oldenburg Academy’s Ace Moorman, North Decatur’s Kyle Nobbe, South Decatur’s Bryan Dixon, and Hauser’s Bob Nobbe.
