(Ohio County, Ind.) - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor 5 Star Company, Inc. is scheduled to close State Road 262 just south of Stephenson Road on or after Monday, September 22, to complete a box culvert replacement project in Ohio County.
The closure will take place just over 8.5 miles northwest of Rising Sun. State Road 262 is expected to reopen in late November, weather permitting. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows S.R. 56 to U.S. 50.
This project is part of a contract awarded to 5 Star in November 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
