The new website is rich with important local information.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Enhanced Telecommunications Corporation (ETC) is pleased to present one of its largest website development projects to date, a new feature-rich site for the City of Rising Sun.

The new site, cityofrisingsun.com, was unveiled in late December.  The site includes many fresh features and enhancements, including a new business directory, slideshow timeline, and a mobile-friendly format.

“The most obvious change is the look,” said Bryce Kendrick, Grant Writer and Marketing Director for the City of Rising Sun. “It’s fresh, clean, colorful and uncluttered.”

Kendrick worked closely with ETC Website Developer Matt Scheidler and Graphic Designer Tessa Gutzwiller to produce the new site. According to Scheidler, one of the things he likes best about the finished product is the amount of historical information accessible to mobile users.

“The website not only includes plenty of new content, but also incorporates six years of news items, and up to 14 years of other information such as City Council meeting minutes,” he said. “The older content is still valuable, and now available in the same new, mobile-friendly format as the new site features.”

According to Scheidler, most websites developed more than five years ago were not created with smartphones and tablets in mind.

“The ETC Web Division creates new websites that are up to 2019 standards, while also offering much greater ease of use and flexibility for future growth,” he said. That is a fact that Kendrick appreciates.

“We are certain the changes and enhancements…will better serve the public,” Kendrick said. “We are very excited about the new site.”

ETC encourages other businesses to follow Rising Sun’s lead and get excited again about their own websites. For a limited time ETC is offering a 10% discount on custom-designed websites for new business customers.
