UPDATE: City of Lawrenceburg Extends Hours at Emergency Cooling Center

The cooling center is at the Boys Scout Cabin on W. High Street.

Update published Monday, July 8: 

The City of Lawrenceburg is extending Cooling Center hours to July 22 at 8:00 a.m.

Individuals or families in need will have access to a monitored air conditioned shelter, cots, blankets and water at the Lawrenceburg Boy Scout Cabin, 461 West High Street.  

Please note that there is limited availability & limited parking at the Scout Cabin.  

City officials will re-evaluate the need to continue providing an available Emergency Cooling Center.

The City of Lawrenceburg is extending Cooling Center hours to July 8 at 8:00 a.m.

Please note that there is limited parking availability at the Scout Cabin. At this time there are no organizational meetings or events scheduled at the Scout Cabin during the Emergency Cooling Center usage.

On July 8, City officials will re-evaluate the need to continue providing an available Emergency Cooling Center.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - In response to a Heat Advisory in the tri-state area, the City of Lawrenceburg is providing an Emergency Cooling Center for those in need. 

Individuals and families will have access to a monitored air-conditioned shelter with cots, blankets and water at the Lawrenceburg Boys Scout Cabin at 461 West High Street. 

The cooling center is available from now until Sunday, June 30 at 5:00 p.m.

At that time, city officials will re-evaluate the need to continue providing an available emergency cooling center.
