(Greendale, Ind.) – A new service is available to residents of Greendale and other nearby citizens.

Greendale Mayor Alan Weiss tells Eagle Country 99.3 that a U.S. Flag Disposal Box is now located at the city administration building at 500 Ridge Avenue.

The box gives area residents a place to dispose of worn and tattered flags.

Mayor Weiss and a member of the American Legion will be emptying the box monthly. All flags will then be taken to the local American Legion.
