(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A Lawrenceburg man is accused of child molestation and possessing child pornography.

Shawn M. McMullin, 24, is accused of luring an underage victim to stay the night at his Bielby Road home on July 2.

According to a court affidavit, McMullin was questioned about the allegations by Dearborn County Special Crimes Unit investigators on July 9. McMullin allegedly told detectives that the victim’s mother was led to believe he lived with his own mother, but he actually lived alone.

The victim told forensic interviewers at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southeastern Indiana that McMullin inappropriately touched them and viewed them in the shower.

Detectives also say they found multiple images of child porn on McMullin’s phone.

McMullin was charged July 11 with Attempted Child Molestation (level 1 felony), Child Molestation (level 4 felony), Possession of Child Pornography (level 5 felony), and Possession of Child Pornography (level 6 felony).

A judge has ordered him to have no contact with the victim. His bond is set at $250,000 cash and $750,000 surety.

A jury trial is scheduled for December 3 in Dearborn Superior Court I.
