Car Thefts Reported In Franklin Co.

Car thieves targeted vehicles at multiple residences in eastern Franklin County on September 12.

(Franklin County, Ind.) - A number of vehicle thefts and break-ins have been occurring in eastern Franklin County in recent days.

The Brookville Democrat-American newspaper reports that multiple vehicles were stolen and others were broken into with items taken from them in Bath and Springfield townships overnight last Thursday, September 12.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone in the Mount Carmel and Bath areas who saw anything to call them.

Residents are also asked to lock their vehicles' doors, remove all valuables, and don’t leave keys in the vehicle.
