(Greendale, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg Community Schools are getting some “buffalove” from a local restaurant.
Tuesday, November 13 was World Kindness Day. Each year, Buffalo Wings & Rings celebrates by awarding grants from its Buffalove Foundation.
Lawrenceburg schools received a $2,000 grant through the chicken wing chain’s Greendale franchise. The generous grant will help support the school corporation’s lunch programs.
“They partnered with us to help families who may be in need of assistance when it comes to our school lunch programs as well as our summer fodo service program. We’re excited to have these grant funds to assist in some of those needs,” says Lawrenceburg Community Schools Superintendent Karl Galey.
Galey and the school district’s building principals were on hand for the check presentation at Buffalo Wings & Rings in Greendale on Tuesday, as well as State Senator Chip Perfect.
The Buffalove Foundation was established in 2016 as a way for Buffalo Wings & Rings to give back to the local communities they serve, particularly in feeding needy children and families.
