Bright Fire Responds to Structure Fire Caused by Firework

Multiple agencies assisted at the scene early Sunday morning.

(Bright, Ind.) - Bright Fire and EMS received an early wakeup call on Sunday morning.

A structure fire was reported around 1:30 a.m. at a home on Brightland Court.

Upon arrival, on-duty crews found an active fire in the attic area and roofline. Their quick response prevented the fire from spreading rapidly throughout the entire attic space.

The fire was caused by a firework that was discharged earlier in the evening and landed in the attic area.

All crews were released and returned to service around 4:00 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
