(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - If you’re in the market, you can land a job in Lawrenceburg on Thursday. More than 50 regional employers will have a presence at the Sixth Congressional District Job Fair at Ivy Tech Community College’s Riverfront campus, 50 Walnut Street. The event is open to the general public from 1:30 until 4:00 p.m. Military veterans will be given special early entry starting at 1:00. Admission is free to all. Dearborn County Commissioner Kevin Lynch says about 15 people who attended last year’s job fair left with a new job. "There's nothing more satisfying than to see someone go in and then leave with a job," said Lynch. "Companies are not just there to advertise. They have open positions they are looking to fill." The job fair's organizer, Southeastern Indiana Congressman Luke Messer (R-Shelbyville), will be in attendance as well. "This year's job fair should be another great event, with many area employers recruiting workers for high quality, good-paying jobs," Messer said. "We invite anyone looking for a job or new career to join us, and see what the Lawrenceburg community has to offer."
