(Batesville, Ind.) – Batesville senior Megan Batta is an Indiana Academic All-Star.
She was recently selected as one of 40 students statewide to earn the honor.
The Indiana Association of School Principals’ Indiana Academic All-Stars program is open to all high schools accredited by the Indiana Department of Education.
Each high school may nominate one senior for consideration as an Academic All-Star. Schools are directed to select nominees based on criteria such as number of advanced classes taken, Standardized Test Scores, Extracurricular activities, both academic and non-academic, Leadership and Community Service and Involvement.
Several area students were nominated for the award. They are:

- Mary Blankman, East Central
- Maegan Galey, Lawrenceburg
- Kelly Glardon, Franklin County
- Adam Kunkel, South Dearborn
- Ben Riehle, Milan
- Sadie Machsmann, Oldenburg Academy
- Aiden Furnish, Switzerland County
