Batesville Approves Tax Abatement For New Cincinnati Children's Hospital Office

Verus Partners will construct and own the medical office building along State Road 46 at I-74.

(Batesville, Ind.) - A company is planning to invest $3 million in a new medical office building in Batesville.

The Batesville Herald-Tribune reports Verus Partners, of Chicago, will develop the 10,000 square foot building on a one-acre lot on State Road 46 near Interstate 74. The property is located next to Steak ‘n’ Shake and CVS Pharmacy.

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital has committed to a 15-year lease of the building.

The City of Batesville has approved a 10 year tax property tax abatement of 40 percent, which will save Verus Partners about $239,000 over that time.

Construction on the medical office could start later this year.
