Aurora Woman Identified as Victim of Fatal Crash in Franklin Co.

(Blooming Grove, Ind.) - The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal vehicle crash that occurred on Sunday night in Blooming Grove. 

The accident was reported at the intersection of State Road 1 and Davis Road around 9:00 p.m.

Upon arrival, deputies located a maroon Dodge Ram pickup truck with the driver, identified as Jacqueline Korb, 38, of Aurora, Indiana, deceased in the driver’s seat.

The preliminary investigation indicates the Dodge Ram was traveling southbound on State Road 1 when a northbound vehicle struck a deer, causing the deer to become airborne and crash through the windshield of the pickup truck. Korb was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
