(Franklin County, Ind.) - A jury trial is underway in Franklin County.
Gregory C. Guilfoyle was charged in December of 2022 with two counts of Attempted Murder and one count of Neglect of a Dependent. He is accused of shooting his wife and a Franklin County Sheriff's deputy.
Following the incident, a 23-month-old female child that was unharmed, was taken into the custody of the Indiana Department of Child Services.
Guilfoyle was originally scheduled to stand trial in June of 2024. The trial was rescheduled numerous times before starting on Monday.
Judge Brian Hall is overseeing the proceedings.
