At-Large Gunman “Armed And Dangerous”

Troy Daugherty

(Metamora, Ind.) - A manhunt for a Franklin County man is ongoing.

Indiana State Police say Troy Daugherty, 49, was involved in a domestic disturbance at a home on Duck Creek Road in Metamora Thursday morning. Several shots were fired in that altercation according to various reports.

Daugherty was attempting to flee the scene in a car when police arrived. He allegedly tried to ram into the deputy’s police cruiser, but drove the car into a ditch.

Daugherty then struggled with two deputies before getting into a pickup truck and driving off. He abandoned that truck less than a mile away and fled on foot into some nearby woods.

K9 officers and helicopters were used to track Daugherty throughout the day Thursday without any success.

Daugherty is still at-large and should be considered armed and dangerous, say Indiana State Police. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.

If you see Daugherty, call 911 immediately.
