Police responded to Turkey Point Road on Tuesday for a report of a suspicious male with a gun.

(Guilford, Ind.) - The Dearborn County Sheriff's Office has released more information regarding an incident along Turkey Point Road.
On Tuesday at approximately 7:56 a.m., Dearborn County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the area near Rullman Wildlife Refuge Park regarding a male that had called 911 stating individuals shot at him and that he was being chased.
The male further stated that he was armed with a gun and would shoot himself if the individuals caught up to him.
During the investigation, deputies learned on a domestic dispute between that had allegedly taken place at a home on Schuster Road. According to a news release, the dispute was between Joseph Legner and individuals at the residence.
As the dispute escalated, Legner was asked to leave the residence. Prior to doing so, Legner allegedly brandished a handgun and fired the weapon inside the residence. He then ran out of the residence into a wooded area.
With the help of K-9, Raiko, Legner was located in a thick wooded area near where the incident took place. He was located in possession of a black handgun.
Legner was placed in police custody without further incident and was transported to the Dearborn County Jail.
He is charged with Pointing a Firearm (Level 6 Felony), Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon (Level 5 Felony), Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon (Level 5 Felony), and Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 6 Felony).
