(Ripley County, Ind.) – The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office has released the details of a vehicle pursuit that occurred on March 29.
It was around 7:16 p.m. when a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle being driven by Ethan Krier, 21, of Brookville.
Krier would flee the scene through the town limits of Versailles before getting on U.S. 50 eastbound. He continued to Stoops Road in Dearborn County before abruptly turning around onto West County Line Road in Dearborn County and traveled back westbound on U.S. 50 into Ripley County.
A tire deflation device was successfully deployed at the intersection of U.S. 50 and State Road 101, but Krier continued on U.S. 50 approaching County Road 450 East where another tire deflation device further incapacitated Krier’s vehicle.
He eventually exited the vehicle at a dead end on 400 East, where a foot pursuit was initiated. He was later located in a wooded area and was placed into custody without further incident.
Krier is charged with Resisting Law Enforcement, Criminal Recklessness with a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia. According to Chief Deputy Lee Davidson, Krier had active arrest warrants through Ripley and Dearborn counties.
