(Dearborn County, Ind.) – The Dearborn County CASA Drug-Free Funds grant cycle opened on Sunday.
Split into four equal parts, funds are distributed as grants to Prevention and Education, Law Enforcement, and Treatment programs. The last fourth of the funds goes towards CASA’s operating costs.
The grants are funded through countermeasure fees and fines collected from alcohol and drug charges through the local court system. This year, a total of $13,234 is available in each category.
The application deadline is November 20.
Funds are expected to be distributed to the grantees by mid-February.
