Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Happens This Saturday

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Fill a bag and help feed those in need.

The U.S. Postal Service will host their annual Stamp Out Hunger event on Saturday, May 11.

Each year, the drive allows Postal Service employees to collect food donations for their communities.

To participate, simply fill a bag with healthy, nonperishable food items and place it by your mailbox for mail carriers to pick up.

Items collected will be donated to local food banks and pantries.

One in eight Americans – including millions of children, senior citizens and veterans – are unsure where their next meal will come from, according to the National Association of Letter Carriers.
