(Florence, Ky.) - The Boone County Sheriff's Office has reported the passing of Camden Hunter.

The 12-year-old from Cincinnati passed away on Monday evening at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, where he was receiving treatment to injuries sustained in a July 6 crash on Industrial Drive in Florence, Kentucky.

Hunter was the passenger of a vehicle that was struck by a vehicle that was turning from a parking lot onto Industrial Drive.

Investigators say the driver, Shirley Hadden, initiated a left turn from the parking lot, attempted to cross both eastbound lanes in order to travel westbound, and pulled directly into the path of another vehicle.

Hadden, 55, of Cincinnati, sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
