Women Dominate Americana Music Nominations 

Kacey Musgraves is among the top nominees.

(Nashville, TN)  --  Women are dominating the 2019 Americana Music Honors and Awards. 

Led by Grammy-winning country star Kacey Musgraves, women made a clean sweep of nominations for Artist of the Year. 

The other nominees are Grammy winner Brandi Carlile, folk songwriter Rhiannon Giddens, and soul legend Mavis Staples. 

Acclaimed country songwriter Lori McKenna leads all nominees with three nods, including Album of the Year and two for Song of the Year. 

The Americana Music Honors and Awards will be presented September 11th at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.
