Luke Combs Opens Up About Grammy Nomination

Luke says he was blown away by the nomination.

(Nashville, TN)  --  Luke Combs is opening up about his recent GRAMMY nomination.

The rising country music star tells Taste of Country his mind was blown when he won the CMA for Best New Artist, but the GRAMMY nomination was so unexpected.

“We won the CMA for Best New Artist and that just blew my mind, but the Grammy was something that seemed so far away," Combs told teh publication during a recent interview in Chicago. “When you grow up in a lower-middle-class, blue-collar home, there are things that you think of that are so outside of the realm of possibility for some people to even think about ever accomplishing. The Grammy was one of those things for me. The Grammy blew me away."

The 61st annual GRAMMY awards take place on February 10th.
