Keith Urban Offers Advice To Demi Lovato

Urban once battled addiction himself.

(Undated)  --  Keith Urban is no stranger to addiction.

That's why he's offering advice to pop singer Demi Lovato, who was hospitalized last week after overdosing.

Urban tells Australian morning show "Today Extra" he recommends Lovato keep "good people around her."

He said it's all up to her to live a different way -- she just has to "want" it.

Urban sought help for alcohol and prescription drug addiction after marrying Nicole Kidman ten years ago.
