David Lee Murphy Scores Second #1

"Everything's Gonna Be Alright" topped both the Billboard Country Airplay chart and Mediabase chart.

(Undated)  --  David Lee Murphy is celebrating his second number-one single in over 20 years.

"Everything's Gonna Be Alright," featuring Kenny Chesney, took the top spot this week on the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase charts.

“When Kenny asked me about making a record, I thought that sounded like a whole lot of fun,” says Murphy. “I love to make music, just as much as I love writing songs. So, we went in without expectations, and I wouldn’t have imagined this. But it sure feels good.”

Fifty-nine-year-old Murphy landed his first number-one back in 1995 with "Dust on the Bottle."
