Community Benefit Fundraiser for the Recovery of Tyler CossellThe community is coming together on Saturday, September 26, 2026, to host a special Benefit Concert and BBQ fundraiser for 33-year-old Tyler Cossell. Earlier this year, Tyler suffered a severe spinal cord injury and was diagnosed with Central Cord Syndrome. Following a major surgery, Tyler faces a long and challenging road ahead as he works hard to regain his independence. Because he is unable to drive or work, the financial strain of everyday living costs, medical expenses, and ongoing rehabilitation therapies has become an overwhelming burden.To help support Tyler and his family during this critical time, a community fundraiser will be held from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Milan American Legion Post 235 (201 W Carr St, Milan, IN). Admission to the event is $10 for entry, with full BBQ food plates available for $5 each. The evening features a night of live entertainment with special performances by the bands The Cherrys and KILL’N SMALLZ.In addition to the food and music, attendees can participate in a charity basket raffle. Local businesses and community members are actively donating gift cards, custom baskets, and unique service vouchers to support the event. A dedicated "Tyler’s Benefit" bank account at Civista Bank and an active GoFundMe campaign have been established to ensure all raised funds securely go directly toward covering Tyler’s daily living and long-term medical care. Whether you come out to enjoy the music, eat dinner, or participate in the raffle, your presence and generosity will make a massive difference in Tyler's journey.
