Job description, qualifications, etc.: The Assistant Youth Coordinator is a person whose primary job is to work with the CASA Youth Coordinator. This includes planning events, attending training, and guiding DCYA (Dearborn County Youth Ambassadors) in communicating CASA’s prevention-focused mission. Additionally, this person will collaborate with CASA’s Youth Coordinator to meet coalition goals. The Assistant Youth Coordinator is expected to attend CASA’s monthly ECM (Executive Committee Board Meeting) and GM (General Membership Meeting). Both meetings are held on mornings of the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Pay determined by experience, availability and qualifications.
• Meet weekly (at a minimum) with Youth Coordinator to collaborate and task share.
• Support, Plan, & Participate in ALL youth events.
• Organize and communicate monthly meetings with Youth Ambassadors.
• Provide support & leadership by being present at each Youth Event and attending the planning of each Youth Event including the Annual Youth Summit, Red Ribbon Week, and more.
• Assist youth in fundraisers and sponsorship requests.
• Manage calendar of events.
• Keep all necessary files related to youth programming including keeping Youth attendance at meetings and events.
• Celebrate Youth successes and make sure all youth are supported.
• Keep Youth social media up to date with regular posts promoting the Youth Ambassadors’ successes and event highlights.
• Work with the website host to keep the Youth Ambassador portion of the CASA’s website current.
• Work consistently with the Youth Coordinator by responding, flagging, and/or organizing youth emails within the Youth Email Account.
• Must be familiar with computers, Google Drive, and other digital requirements.
• Keep all necessary files related to youth programming within File Folder in CASA Google Drive.
• Must be willing and able to travel to county schools and other meetings within the county regularly.
• Follow all CASA policies/procedures
