Deer was taken near Osgood

I had a few trail cam pictures of him.  He came into a food plot that my dad and I had recently planted.  I had my scent wick out with for estrous scent of it and he came in with his nose up.

This is the fist buck I have shot since 2022. We started managing our family farm last year to grow trophy whitetail deer.  This buck was one on our hit list this year.  Crazy story my neighbor somehow shot the deer through its back tendon he come limping across the property line. I noticed he could not move his back leg it was broke. I did not really second-guess shooting him with a broken leg after we actually seen him he was a little bit bigger than we suspected but we decided to go ahead and take him. It was a clean ethical shot with a 12 Gauge shotgun. He only ran about 20 yards and went down

We were just sitting in the deer blind around 10am. About 40 yards away from the blind, a deer jumped out of the cedar thicket. He stood there broadside for about 2 minutes. I got my shooting stick out and got my gun ready. Pulled the trigger and shot him.  He ran down to the creek and layed there till we found him.

Harvested on our property on Tues. Nov 12th with a Killer Instinct Crossbow

This was my first crossbow Buck and my first heart shot! I was so excited I had been able to land such a good shot on a cool non-typical 11 point Buck, all by myself. My husband Chuck has been teaching me to hunt for 8 years and it’s something we just love to do. Not bad for a 64 yr old Grandma!

Harvested November 3rd 2024 with Mathews Switchback XT Compound Bow.

The buck we call "Medusa", we have been watching this deer all year and he was only moving through the night or bedding in hard to access areas, up until rut started to ramp up. He came in trying to catch up to a doe he was pursuing 30 yards away. Non-typical 17 points in total.
