(Aurora, Ind.) – An Aurora martial artist is made of gold.
Kara Woulms competed at the 2018 AAU Junior Olympics in Des Moines, Iowa on July 27. She qualified for the event by placing second at the Indiana AAU Taekwondo State Championship in May.
Competing in the 11-12-year-old intermediate girls division, Woulms took gold in traditional forms, traditional forms open class and traditional weapons.
Woulms has trained with Master Hite of the Indiana Academy of Martial Arts in Greendale for three years.
This year was her first trip to the Junior Olympics.
