(Vevay, Ind.) - Madi Johns has a bright future ahead of her.

On Wednesday night, the Switzerland County Middle School 7th grader etched her name in the history books with a record setting shot.

Johns threw a 32' 7.5" with the six-pound shot, setting a new Switzerland County Middle School record. Her record-setting performance helped Switzerland County come away with a quad-meet win over Carroll County, St. Louis Catholic and Jac-Cen-Del.

Not only does she own the school record, but this outstanding performance currently places her 5th in the state rankings.
