Swimmer Grant House Scores Silver At Pan-Am Games

(Undated) - A former Bright resident has won silver at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

Grant House was part of the United States’ 4x100 meter freestyle relay swim team. In Tuesday evening’s final, the U.S. team placed second behind Brazil, which won the heat with a Pan-Am record time of 3:12.61. The U.S. time was 3:14.94.

House, 21, will compete in the men’s 200 meter freestyle Wednesday, then again Friday in the 4x200 meter relay. In both events, he has the top qualifying time.

Grant is the son of East Central High School Athletic Hall of Famers and former swim coaches Ray and Sue House, now of Maineville, Ohio. A graduate of St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, he is a junior with the Arizona State University swim team.
