INDIANAPOLIS – For one last time, football stars from across the state of Indiana represented their respective high schools at the 56th annual Murat Shrine All-Star Classic.

The North and South teams collided at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis on Friday.

It was the South coming out victorious, 14-0.

The South Team was powered by a quartet from southeastern Indiana.

Lawrenceburg wide receiver and Ball State commit Dahya Patel, who helped captain the South team, hauled in three catches for 48 yards and a touchdown.

Patel’s touchdown catch was thrown by Mount Vernon (Fortville) quarterback Gehrig Slunaker for the first score of the game. Slunaker would be named the Tyler Roth MVP, leading the South in passing with 158 yards and two touchdowns.

Lawrenceburg quarterback Garrett Yoon (St. Francis commit) added to the South’s passing attack, going 8-14 for 63 yards.

South Dearborn running back CJ Rogers was the game’s leading rusher with 71 yards on just four carries.

East Central offensive lineman Casey McQueen (Rose-Hulman commit) helped anchor the South’s offensive line that paved the way for 320 yards of total offense.

The South Team also featured Lawrenceburg offensive coordinator Mike Manford.
