South Dearborn Student-Athlete Recognized with IHSAA Champions Pin

Acts of great sportsmanship usually don't go unnoticed.

(Aurora, Ind.) – A South Dearborn High School student-athlete has been recognized for displaying great sportsmanship.

Nakia Scruggs was warded with an IHSAA Champions Pin from SDHS Principal Steve Ohlhaut on Monday.

Scruggs received the award for helping a downed opponent in Saturday’s loss to Taylor.

Head official Eric Clark made the observation and nominated Scruggs for the award.

Scruggs, a senior defender, has logged 831 minutes in 12 matches for the 6-7-1 Knights.
