Area Teams, Individuals Earn Academic All-State Honors

The Softball Coaches Association of Indiana released their Academic All-State teams this week.

INDIANAPOLIS - The Softball Coaches Association of Indiana announced this week their Team and Individual Academic All-State teams.

Franklin County and Rising Sun earned Team Academic All-State honors.

The Lady Wildcats earned the fifth-best team GPA in the state at 3.98. Rising Sun finished the 2022-23 school year with a team GPA of 3.67.

Four individuals from southeast Indiana were named to the Individual Academic All-State Team. They are:

Madi Kammer, Franklin County
Maci Lake, Franklin County
Olivia Kavanaugh, South Ripley
Brionna Linkel, South Ripley
