Seven Earn ORVC Weekly Honors

Seven student-athletes have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference. 

The ORVC Report for April 14-19 was released on Wednesday. 

Switzerland County's Zayne Smith is the ORVC Baseball Player of the Week. Smith picked up a win on the mound against Milan, tossing six innings and striking out nine. He also collected two hits and scored a run in two games. 

The ORVC Softball Player of the Week is Kynadee Bode. The Milan star totaled seven hits, five RBI, four runs and four doubles in three games. She also pitched 25 innings, giving up four earned runs while striking out 37. 

Southwestern's Wyatt Barker is the Boys Golfer of the Week. He carded a 38 during a nine-hole round at Butler Falls and a 79 at St. Anne's. 

In track and field, the top performers of the week were Kelvin Beck (Switzerland County), Gabe Riehle (Milan), Madison Spillman (Switzerland County) and Savannah Nussbaum (Southwestern).
