SD's Fischer to Compete at Girls Wrestling State Tournament

The tournament takes place Friday in Kokomo.

(Aurora, Ind.) - A South Dearborn High School wrestler has made history. 

Senior Kaitlyn Fischer took third place in the Indiana High School Girls Wrestling Regional Tournament last weekend.

By finishing third, Fischer earned a trip to the State Wrestling Tournament, which will be held on Friday, January 14 at Memorial Gymnasium in Kokomo.

Fischer enters the state tournament with a 6-1 record. Due to her accomplishments, South Dearborn sent her off Thursday with a traditional March of Champions.

The IHSGW State Tournament begins at noon on Friday.
