The UCA College Nationals were held January 17-19 at Walt Disney Resort.
Recent South Dearborn High School graduate Avery Wuestefeld competed at the event in the All Girl Game Day Division for Trevecca Nazarene University.
Her team would place 12th in the semifinals. The top 11 moved on to the final round.
For more than 35 years, the UCA and UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship has been the culmination of the season for cheerleaders and dancers across the country.
It is the most prestigious collegiate national championship in the country and is an opportunity for cheerleading and dance teams to get together and celebrate each other at the Most Magical Place on Earth, the Walt Disney World Resort.
