Rising Sun Goes Undefeated in ORVC, Places Five on All-Conference Team

The Lady Shiners are ranked among the top teams in Class 1A.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) – The 2024 Ohio River Valley Conference Softball All-Conference Team was released on Friday.

Fourteen players earned their way onto the All-Conference Team, including four from conference champion Rising Sun.

The Lady Shiners won the conference with a perfect 10-0 record. They were led by ORVC Coach of the Year Ken DeDreu and star players Nora Powell, Lily Courtney, Alyssa Simpson, Elaina Titkemeyer, and Ryan Works.

Milan went 8-2 and placed three on the all-conference team. Southwestern and Jac-Cen-Del both had two selections, while South Ripley and Switzerland County had one each.

The 2024 ORVC Baseball Mental Attitude Award went to Jac-Cen-Del’s Maria Meyer.
