(Fort Worth, Tx.) – The list of accolades and honors continues to get longer for Mason Parris.
The Lawrenceburg native made his first U.S. Senior National Team on Saturday at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Fort Worth, Texas. Parris, a junior at the University of Michigan, placed third in the 125kg/275-pound freestyle division.
It was not easy for Parris as he lost his opening bout. He bounced back with three straight consolation wins.
Perhaps, his most impressive win was a 6-3 decision over former two-time NCAA champions Tony Nelson.
