All-Time Leading Scores, 1,000 Point Scorers Highlight ORVC All-Conference Team

Sixteen players earned the honor.

Brody Morris, Cole Henry, Blaine Ward, and Cam Craig were among the top players in the ORVC this season.

(Versailles, Ind.) - Sixteen high school basketball players have earned recognition from the Ohio River Valley Conference.

On Thursday, the ORVC announced their 2024-25 Boys Basketball All-Conference Team. 

Conference champion South Ripley (21-1, 6-0 in ORVC) headlined the all-conference team with four selections: Cole Henry, Blaine Ward, Chancie Volz, and Drew Volz. 

The Raiders, #2 in the Class 2A AP Poll, clinched the ORVC title with a win over Jac-Cen-Del last Friday. Other season highlights included seeing Cole Henry set the school record for career points and rebounds, and Blaine Ward eclipsing 1,000 career points. 

Henry finished the regular season as the conference's second-leading scorer at 22.2 points per game. He ranks second in the conference in rebounding at 8.5 per contest. Ward ranked among the top scorers (18.7 PPG), and passers (80 assists). Drew Volz (94 assists) and Chancie Volz (67 assists) ranked in the top 10 in assists. 

Second-place Southwestern (Hanover) also had four all-conference selections in Brady Cook, Caleb Goode, Landon Kidwell and Braxton Lewis. The Rebels currently rank #14 in the Class 2A Poll. 

Switzerland County is represented by Cam Craig and Cooper Todd. Craig, like Henry, became Switzerland County's all-time leading scorer earlier this season. He finished the regular season averaging 20.7 points per game, which is good for third in the conference. Cooper Todd led the conference in assists with 101. 

Ethan Clark and Micah Norman were selected to the all-conference team from Milan. Norman, a junior, reached 1,000 career points this season. Norman finished 4th in the conference in scoring at 20.2 PPG. Clark was third in assists with 88. 

Other notable all-conference selections include Brody Morris, of Rising Sun, and the Jac-Cen-Del duo of Darian Grieshop and John Newhart. 

Morris is another 1,000 point scorer, who averaged 17.2 PPG.
