New SIRC Leaders After Lakeside 5K

The top two competitors in on the female leaderboard are separated by three seconds.

(Brookville, Ind.) - There are two new leaders in the clubhouse after three Southeastern Indiana Racing Circuit events. 

The annual five-race circuit continued on Saturday with the Lakeside 5K in Brookville. 

Adam Arndt, 16, of Connersville, was the overall winner with a time of 17:49. The top female competitor was Batesville 16-year-old Lily Pinkley. She finished 11th overall with a time of 20:28. 

After three races, it's Adam Hollowell who sits atop the male leaderboard. The 17-year-old from Batesville has a total time of 57:45. Nipping at his heels is Kyle Hall at 58:12 and Daren Smith at 58:27. 

Kim Johnston, 48, of College Corner, Ohio, took the lead in the female competition after coming in 13th overall in the Lakeside 5K. Johnston leads Lauren Kelly, 16, of Brookville by just three seconds. 

The fourth of five SIRC races takes place this Saturday, August 3 at the Indian Trails 5K in Milan.
