Mason Parris Takes Gold at Pan-American Games; Sets Sights on U.S. Olympic Team Trials

Parris made quick work of the 125kg division.

(Acapulco, MX) – Mason Parris added another gold medal to his trophy case with at dominate win at the Pan-American Games.

Parris won gold in the 125kg division with a 10-0 win over Richard Deschatelets (Canada). Both his semifinal and finals opponents defaulted due to injury.

His win was one of 29 total medals taken home by USA wrestlers.

Parris previously qualified the USA team to compete in the 125kg division in the 2024 Paris Olympics by grabbing bronze at the 2023 Senior World Championships.

Parris is one of 181 athletes that have qualified for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trails, which will be held April 19-20 at Penn State University.
