Rising Sun 11, Jac-Cen-Del 0 – The Shiners became ORVC Co-Champions with the victory. Rising Sun pounded out 13 hits in the lopsided game, aided by three JCD errors.

South Ripley 24, Shawe Memorial 1 – With the win, South Ripley wins a share of the ORVC championship with Rising Sun.

Switzerland County 5, Southwestern 4

GIRLS TENNIS

IHSAA Sectional 12 at Connersville – First Round

Franklin County 5, Rushville 0 – Franklin County’s team improves its meet record to 18-0, a new school record. The Wildcats will meet Connersville in the sectional championship match on Friday, May 18.

SOFTBALL

Jac-Cen-Del 10, Rising Sun 5 – Lindsay Montgomery led Rising Sun with 2 RBI and a run scored on 1-for-4 hitting. Tyrrah Miller hit a solo homer for the Shiners.

Milan 14, Union County 9 – Milan’s Taryn Cline had a home run, 6 RBI and 2 runs on 2-for-5 hitting. Jordan Healy and Erin Widener each recorded 2 RBI for the Indians.
