Reid Cleary and Mitch Behrle had 2 RBI. EC’s Simon Williams was credited with the win by pitching 5.0 innings with 4 Ks, 3 walks, 2 hits and 1 unearned run allowed.
Batesville 8, Rising Sun 5 – Batesville opens their season with a win. The Bulldog’s Sam Voegele was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and an RBI. Lane Oesterling smacked a solo home run. Four Batesville pitchers – Trey Peters, Caleb Raab, Riley Zink, and Shane Meer – combined to get 11 strikeouts.
