Girls basketball sectionals tipped off on Tuesday.

 

BOYS BASKETBALL

East Central 55, Harrison (Ohio) 45 – East Central’s Luke Collinsworth posted 21 points.

 

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

IHSAA 4A Sectional 14 at Columbus East – First Round

East Central 54, Bloomington North 27 – EC’s Brilan McCory led the Trojans to victory with 15 points, 7 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. Teammate Alyssa Robben added 10 points and 7 boards. East Central (18-6) advances to play Bloomington South (19-3) in the sectional semi-final on Friday, February 1.

Columbus North 61, Shelbyville 45

 

IHSAA 3A Sectional 29 at Batesville – First Round

Rushville 58, Batesville 39 – Batesville’s season ends with a 9-14 record.

 

IHSAA 2A Sectional 45 at South Decatur – First Round

Milan 42, North Decatur 40 – Milan (11-11) advances to play Switzerland County (11-11) in the sectional semi-final round on Friday, February 1.

South Ripley 48, South Decatur 36 – South Ripley (16-7) advances to play Southwestern (Hanover) (8-16) in the sectional semi-final on Friday, February 1.

 

IHSAA 1A Sectional 60 at Waldron – First Round

Oldenburg Academy 53, Morristown 43 – Oldenburg Academy advances to play Waldron in the sectional semi-final on Friday, February 1.
